About This Experience

This is a private charter rather than a shared cruise: the sailing boat and skipper are booked exclusively for your group, up to twelve guests, on a Bavaria 46 or Dufour 41 yacht depending on numbers and availability. The route runs along the Catania coast towards the Cyclops Islands, with stops built around what the group wants to do, so families, couples or small groups of friends can set their own pace rather than follow a fixed shared schedule.

Planned stops include Ulysses' Caves and Aci Castello, both used for swimming and snorkelling breaks, with snorkelling equipment provided on board. At Acitrezza there's a stop for an aperitif of local Sicilian products, olives, bread, cheese and cured meats, with a glass of wine each, timed to take in the Faraglioni sea stacks close up from the water, away from the busier shared-boat cruises that pass the same coast.

Because it's a private booking, the order of stops and the overall length, from a half day up to a full day, can be worked out with the operator in advance. A skipper is mandatory and charged separately from the boat rental, in cash on the day: this is a per-group price for up to twelve guests, not a per-person one.
